The times they are a changin’

In Culpeper County, at least.

WINA:
There’s a proposed ordinance that would place restrictions on shooting guns in Culpeper. It would would limit shooting to parcels of land 20 acres or larger and ban rifles larger than a 22-caliber. More than 100 sportsmen went to a Culpeper supervisors committee meeting this week to voice their displeasure. The ordinance is similar to a law in Faifax County. During the meeting, shouts of “this is not Fairfax County” could be heard coming from the crowd.

This should prove to be an interesting fight. As Northern Virginia extends further beyond its boundaries, the former rural, now bedroom-community Town/County of Culpeper is facing more and more changes.
