Blogging for business

It seems that others are catching on.  One of the most difficult, yet necessary aspects of this business is self-promotion. That said, here we are - on the cover of Commonwealth Magazine, the magazine of the Virginia Association of Realtors. Watching and being a part of the evolution of this facet of the business has been gratifying, satisfying and frankly, very time-consuming. Merv has an excellent commentary on this story.

Thanks to Merv, here is the cover -

Man, I’m glad you don’t write “REALTOR®” instead of “Realtor.” That gets annoying after, like, one time. That’d be like writing KLEENEX®, COCA-COLA® BRAND SOFT DRINK, or APPLE IMAC® instead of Kleenex, Coke, and iMac. It’s tough on the eyes.

I probably would write “REALTOR®” more often if I could just remember where the ® lives on my mac. “REALTOR®” is actually copywritten, it is supposed to be written as such each and every time. Thanks for pointing that out - now I’ll have to write it properly for at least 7 days now. :)

Congrat’s on getting your first magazine cover. May it be one of many more and a harbinger of continuing prosperity.

Thank you for the kind words - it’s weird to both see myself on the cover and have so many people say that they saw me.
