Beware of Builders Bearing Gifts and Pushing Lenders – always, always analyze what is being offered to you. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

Before getting that loan

As noted earlier last month, Charlottesville is one of the top 25 Green Cities in America

Choosing C’Ville because of the relatively lower cost of living – frankly, I hadn’t heard that before.

How homeowners can combat global warming – or more directly, how homeowners can save money.

As Environmentalism Grows, Online Publishers Go Green – responding to the market’s demands.

Energy Efficient home construction – building green is not rocket science, and it’s not even that different. It just takes a little bit of thinking differently.

After 20 years in the San Francisco Bay area, we are considering a move to Charlottesville for exactly this economic reason. Home prices are less than half of what we pay here.

While there may be cheaper places than Charlottesville, we have not yet found one where we would want to live.

    JC –

Thanks for reading and commenting. C’ville is unique in that regard and II ave sold several homes to California “refugees.”

So here’s the thing – I’ve just started using Netvibes, and it’s pretty much awesome. And I’ve started using some RSS feeds over there (yours will be included, don’t worry), but I’m still a fan of cvilleblogs and Waldo’s work, so I frequently get you from over there because while I won’t read everything that’s come down the pike there, I’ll frequently pick up something that’s entirely off-the-wall for me, but that I wouldn’t get 100% of the time using an RSS feed, make sense?
