Charlottesville’s Rivanna Trail

by Jim Duncan on August 22, 2008

One of the neatest things about Charlottesville is the Rivanna Trail – twenty miles of hiking trails that encircle the City of Charlottesville. Describing the trail is often difficult, but sumidiot does it better than I’ve seen:

In my experience, the map the Foundation provides, and the accompanying notes, still leave you exploring various sections along the trail, trying to find the right way. All the same, I love the trail, and consider it one of the best things about living in Charlottesville.

If you’re interested in hiking or learning more about the Trail, visit his site.
