Thanks for posting this Jim. Here at the United Way, we can attest to greater numbers of people calling for holiday assistance this year. We encourage everyone to support ToyLift this year as we have referred many families to them. In addition, all the food banks need help as their cupboards are nearly bare. Support any food drive you hear of ( I know Western Albemarle High School is running one through next Tuesday), or consider running one yourself. Love Inc. also has at least 40 families on their waiting list for holiday meals. You can contact them at 977-1777 to adopt a family.
Or visit the United Way Volunteer Center's website www.BeAVolunteer.info to find holiday volunteer opportunities for individuals and families. Remember, when we reach out a hand to one, we influence the condition of all.

There is also an early drop-off location in the Old Trail Information Center, 6406 Woodbourne Lane, Crozet, VA. I think it has some items in it already!
