Cvillepedia – A Vast New Resource for Charlottesville and Albemarle

You’ve heard of Wikipedia, right?

Now Charlottesville and Albemarle have a resource of similar (local) ambition and (local) scope – Cvillepedia, implemented by the fine folks at Charlottesville Tomorrow.

cvillepedia is a wiki created by Charlottesville Tomorrow to document the history and explain the structure of civic life in Charlottesville and Albemarle County. Our goal is to create a destination for all residents to learn about how government works in our community.

The site is in its infancy, despite showing that there are 428 articles as of this morning. The potential is remarkable. That it’s put together by a non-profit, is even better, in my opinion.

A huge thanks to Cville Tomorrow for putting this together, it should prove to be a remarkable resource for anyone in Charlottesville and Albemarle seeking to educate themselves or for those seeking to relocate to the Charlottesville area.
