As a fellow Realtor, I too took great offence to this article. It seems everyone today is fixated on "Do-it-yourself" style shows on HGTV. I have had the great pleasure of working with many misguided individuals who felt they were better off without a Realtor and in the end been either unsuccessful or down right taken advantage of by others.

Articles like this and many of the shows on HGTV are just money makers for their writers/producers. What people fail to realize is, ITS NOT AS EASY AS THEY MAKE IT LOOK! Keep on using a Realtor.

After all, you wouldn't go see your auto mechanic for medical treatment. So why do the same with what could very well be the single most largest investment of your life?
