For the first time, buyer clients of mine have specifically chosen to not look in the Charlottesville area and instead are redirecting their search to Waynesboro, just west of Charlottesville.(name withheld) became increasingly concerned about the water situation, so we have changed our focus to Augusta County…. It has much more possibility for good aquifers than does the metamorphic rock on the East side.For Charlottesville & Albemarle, the primary reservoir has 80% of its usable volume. The candidates for the BoS speak about the 50 year water plan.Luckily, I work in Waynesboro and Augusta, too. Of greater concern is the long-term viability of continued growth, and perhaps the perception of that viability buy buyers and sellers in the regionFolks, we’re suffering through quite a drought.
