A sampling:

Stonehaus has very much impressed me with their commitment to reaching all their goals. I think it is a most unusual development firm, one that is forward thinking and a pioneer in urban development. I had reservations about getting involved with this project, and I have tested this company in a few ways (you can ask them!). But I am convinced of their integrity and am joining them to make their dream (and mine) come true.

I’ve written before that Belvedere is one of the only new developments in the region about which I am excited by what they are doing. If they can successfully implement their plan

Belvedere is just as much a way of life as it is a place to live. Subdivisions have amenities. But here ideas, possibilities and public spaces are woven into the urban fabric and ecosystems that make up Belvedere. The result is a healthy and full way to live. And a lot of great stuff that you can walk to.

EarthCraft certified homes,  LEED certified buildings, A walkable neighborhood. Organic farm and pocket parks. These are the ways Belvedere is starting its life as a sustainable community. It’s a wonderful thing to be a part of.

(and I expect they will, with input from great clients such as mine) – it should be a great place to live.

More on Belvedere here.

Developments couldn’t pay for better marketing and exposure than what they are getting from Home at Belvedere.

Disclosure – the author of the blog is a client of mine, and I am invested in their having a great experience today, tomorrow and for their time in the Charlottesville area; I am truly grateful for all that I have learned from them so far.

Brilliant marketing: website for Belvedere is top notch, superb graphics, copy, etc. I think there is a real buzz about this neighborhood in town. From my dentist to clients, Belvedere seems to come up in conversation more and more. Sounds like one will still need to use the car for grocery shopping.

Also, traffic on Park Street going towards downtown is getting almost unbearable at times.

    Pavel –

    Agreed on the marketing.

Apparently they are trying to get a grocery store in there, and the Meadowcreek Parkway is supposed to have bike lanes …

Time will tell, and the developer has a lot of promises to keep.

The real issue will be getting in and out of the neighborhood even with a traffic light. I’m sure the Dunlora folks have to be frustrated with not only Belvedere getting the traffic light instead of them but also the fact that Belvedere will have at least 2 streets allowing access through Dunlora.

No doubt. I just think if I lived in Dunlora, to not have a traffic light and now more traffic will flow out of their neighborhood, would be aggravating.

How about viewing it the other way? Now Dunlora residents will be able to go through Belvedere to get to a traffic light. Why would the traffic flow the other way?
