Western Bypass. Revived.

Read about it at the HooK. Make sure you check out where the bypass may go.

I remain unconvinced that:

1) If we were to build a new road, this is the one to be built. Just because it’s been talked about for so very long.

2) That a new road will ever be built, and by the time it is it is likely to be functionally obsolete based on emerging human settlement and transportation patterns.

Traffic is only getting worse.

The bypass is a bad idea. It was obsolete 20 years ago before I was born, it is even more obsolete now. Why would you want to add a busy intersection there and make things worse?

As for the process? The Daily Progress editorial hit things right on.

What infrastructure improvement would you say is a good idea?
