Water.

I missed the meeting last night due to the fact
that I have a family, but news reports seem to indicate that the most
environmentally friendly option, the James River, faced a great deal of
opposition.

Again, the summary of the DP article
sums up our political process (!) whether the subject be water, roads, or whom
should take out the trash.

” While
there was little agreement on a solution Thursday night, everyone agreed that
something needs to be done. Current growth projection data show water will
outpace supply after 2008, and by 2055, the authority says, the area could see a
deficit of 9.9 million gallons per day.”
