Ground water regulations have changed

From today’s href="http://www.dailyprogress.com/servlet/Satellite?pagename=CDP/MGArticle/CDP_BasicArticle&c=MGArticle&cid=1031780635745&path="
target="NewWindow">DP -”
Under
the ordinance, builders will now have to drill a well before a building permit
is issued to prove there is adequate groundwater on the
property”.

Now, how does this
affect you? If you buy land that does not have public water or sewer, you would
be wise to have the Seller drill the well prior to your closing on the purchase.
This ordinance has been in effect in href="http://www.madison-news.com/extras/madisonguide/intro.htm"
target="NewWindow">Madison County for some time. Not an altogether
bad idea – making sure there is was available water prior to purchasing what
could in effect turn out to be a nice campground.
