Influential Real Estate People – On Twitter

Two lists came out in the past couple days showing the important and/or influential people in the real estate space – on Twitter at least.

The first to come out was produced by Stefan Swanepoel, and the second by Dustin Luther; the former seems to have ruffled some feathers of those in the RE.net who were left off the list (which is being revised).

If you’re looking to follow more (influential) people in the real estate space, spend a few moments perusing the lists and choose to follow some of the people there. Please, please, please don’t blindly “follow all” – Twitter, by my definition is about engaging quality rather than quantity.

I’m humbled to be on both lists, but wouldn’t have lost any sleep if I hadn’t made the respective cuts.

For Charlottesville people – stay tuned for the next Charlottesville Tweetup – this one at a distinctly unique new space!

If you’re inclined, follow me on Twitter.

Update: My two cents on the lists:

About Jim Duncan

A Charlottesville Realtor who tries to stay on the bleeding/cutting/functional edge of technology and real estate trends. I have been selling real estate for the past 10 years, lived in C'Ville for twenty+ and am married to one of few Charlottesville natives left.

Congrats on making both lists! There are a lot of great people on that list, and I picked up a few more to follow as well.

Yes, I follow a few people on “the list”… but find many of their tweets to be of little influence. Tweets about welcoming the world every day or what music they are listening to at a given moment seem like rambling. Yes, it is social and that’s about it.
