The meeting yesterday must have been pretty interesting. WINA (no longer available) and the DP (archived: 2007) both have fairly extensive reports – of note is that the federal regulatory agencies told Rivanna (archived: 2011) that they don’t HAVE to come up with a plan that covers the next 50 years. Wish they had mentioned that 5 years ago. Planning for the distant future is not an altogether bad idea, though. Not planning adequately for the future is something that has defined our region for some time.
Shockingly, the local officials say they want to meet again with regulators before selecting a preferred option or combination of options.
