Throughout the day on WINA, I hear commercials stating the splendors of Old Trail Village (archived: 2021), with townhouse prices starting at $175,000 and single family homes from $300,000 up to one million. Ha. They might have been $175k before they hit the market, but certainly not now. It is irresponsible to continue to broadcast this blatantly untrue message, and frustrating for my clients who falsely believe that they can afford a house here.
Update: They have changed the ad on the radio … now it says that townhome prices start at $200k … a slightly less untruthful statement. If a 1695 square foot townhome is listed (archived: 2005) at $297,000, I would be curious to see how large/small the $200k ones are.
