A good day starts with a bike ride.
A better day starts with a bike ride to meet clients for a final walkthrough of their first home. Smile, happiness, projects to be undertaken, projects to be planned, lives to be lived. It’s a good day.
And this is also a story about bicycles and connectivity.
I left the walkthrough, turned right, and as I made the left turn I saw clients I represented last year – outside playing, and enjoying their home, living their lives. It might be a bit creepy to slow my car down, roll down my window, and yell at my clients (and their kids).
But I was on my bicycle. I stopped, smiled and waved, and they did the same. And we talked for a few minutes. Bonus, they were with a friend last night thinking about selling their house and they were talking about me,
15 minutes on a bicycle, met one set of happy clients, said hi to another set of happy clients.
A good day, and another argument for bicycles, protected bike lanes, and good humans.
Paint is not infrastructure.
Faded bikes lanes.
